September Challenge, See the Gifts, Day 12

Today's gift challenge should be a little easier.  Just look around and find your 

3 Gifts of Today

Mine are a harvest of tomatoes early this morning, to put in the freezer for soups and sauces this winter;  spending a couple days off with my husband; and beautiful, warm sunshine. I am enjoying every drop of it we can squeeze out before the cold months creep in.

Today is a day of remembrance, honor, and respect.  

In honor of this day, today's gift challenge is 3 gifts of remembrance.  

Mine are communion, remember the ultimate sacrifice for me; handmade hutch from my Grandpa; two old pictures that my Gram had for years, now hang in my home.

Gifts Challenge/Joy Dare September 10th

Water moving to create a breathtaking waterfall

 My sweet dog and her happy, wagging tail, and her demanding that we move with her every day by taking her for a walk.

The gift of my body's ability to move.  It can be a gift we take for granted every day, but it truly is a gift if we have the privilege to move.

Mine are a handwritten recipe that was from my Gram's recipe box, family photos all over our home, and a cross stitched handwork that my mom made.

September 8th Joy Dare/Daily Gift challenge

You may have to take some time to really look and think about this joy dare. 

A gift made 

A gift masked 

A gift marveled 

Gifts made would be precious quilts made from my Gram, my mom, and my husband's grandmothers, and beautiful carvings from my dad. 

A masked gift would be a bobwhite quail.  I love listening to their whistle.

To marvel is to be filled with wonder, surprise, or astonishment.  I marvel at the beautiful hand of God each day in sunsets, animals, the formation of clouds, all creation.
